It was constructed during the Bosnian War (1992–1995), when the city was under prolonged siege and almost completely cut off from external supply routes. This underground passage became a critical lifeline, enabling the movement of food, medicine, fuel, and communications that helped sustain the civilian population through the crisis. This story is a lesson in improvisation and the strength of human resilience in times of crisis. 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 & 𝐋𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐜𝐲 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬’ 𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐮𝐦 🇮🇳✨ As part of @jamia_hamdard annual orientation program, I had the privilege of taking 50 of our students on a remarkable experiential journey to the Prime Ministers’ Museum (Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya), New Delhi. We were joined by my old friend and distinguished journalist, @mediasurya , former Chairman of Prasar Bharati, constitutional expert, and one of the visionaries who helped conceptualize this museum. His engaging narration, from the First Amendment of the Constitution to the shaping of democratic India, gave our students rare insights into the living spirit of the Constitution and the legacies of India’s illustrious Prime Ministers. The museum itself is a blend of heritage and cutting-edge technology, offering interactive experiences that deeply resonated with the students: 📸 A “selfie moment” with the Prime Minister 🚁 A thrilling virtual helicopter ride 🪖 Sitting on a tank and stepping into a simulated war field 🎥 Immersive galleries showcasing India’s journey through leadership and vision This was not just a visit, but a lesson in history, governance, and innovation, where learning went far beyond the classroom. Watching students engage with India’s democratic story in such dynamic ways reinforced the value of connecting young minds with spaces that celebrate both our constitutional heritage and our technological future.
