𝐌𝐀𝐇𝐄 𝐑𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐬 & 𝐖𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬, 𝐚 𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐲 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐮𝐬
On a gentle, rain‑kissed Sunday yesterday, our campus came alive in a way that felt both joyful and deeply meaningful. In commemoration of Founder’s Day, MAHE Roots & Wings became more than just an event. It became a tribute to the extraordinary journey of MAHE over the past seven decades and to the enduring vision of Dr TMA Pai, who believed that education has the power to transform not just individuals, but generations.
From a single institution to a globally respected university, MAHE’s growth has been shaped by purpose, perseverance, and a deep commitment to excellence. Roots & Wings was our way of bringing that legacy closer to the next generation.
Over 100 children of MAHE staff members, walking hand in hand with their parents, stepped into this world of possibilities. The presence of parents was at the heart of the experience. It was not just about children discovering MAHE, but about families experiencing together the scale, spirit and impact of the institution they are part of. There was a quiet sense of pride in those shared moments, as parents watched their children engage with the very spaces they contribute to every day.
As the children explored iconic landmarks, from the Anatomy Museum at
@kmc_manipal to the Culinary Museum at
@WManipal , from the energy of Marena Sports Complex to the wonder of the Dr TMA Pai Planetarium and the immersive Destination Manipal Experience Theatre, the campus unfolded as a living story. Interactions with our faculty on Wilderness, First Aid, Floral Design and even Research Expeditions to Antarctica sparked curiosity, excitement and imagination.
At its heart, Roots & Wings is about belonging. It is about helping young minds understand the legacy they are connected to, the larger purpose their parents serve, and the possibilities that lie ahead. It is about planting seeds of aspiration while grounding them in a story that is already theirs.
The laughter, the games, the eager questions, the wide‑eyed wonder and the magical finale by Kudroli Ganesh created moments that felt both light and unforgettable.
Curated by the People & Culture Team, HRD, MAHE, this initiative also gently reminded every parent of something profound. To be a part of MAHE is to belong to an institution that has shaped lives for decades. An institution that stands for learning, impact, and possibility.
Some Sundays pass by.
Some Sundays stay with you.
This was one of those rare days that reminded us of who we are, where we come from, and why it matters so much.
