Do you remember your FIRST @asco annual mtg? #myfirstASCO👉🏻 I was pregnant, in fellowship, & was SO overwhelmed by the meeting. #ASCO2009 was in Orlando so we snuck away to Disney with our girls in the afternoons. Fast forward to my 16th year attending @ASCO annual mtg! #ASCO24

True story for someone like me, yet the early trainee’s lounge and the buddy program helped me ✅Come out of comfort zone ✅Navigate through the sessions ✅Knowledge sharing ✅Networking Thank you again @ramsedhom for your time and being my ASCO buddy! #myfirstASCO #ASCO2022
Amazing advances at #ASCO22. Small reflection: Easy for trainees & faculty to feel inadequate or that you don’t belong. Yet far from true. Research takes a village, teams, opportunity, & sponsorship. Hard work yes, but often dependent on being in the right place at right time

.@SWOG's Blanke had a hypoglycemic episode one year at ASCO & texted Kathy Miller next door. "She said she didn’t see the text for about 2hrs after I sent it, and by that point I was either deceased or I had recovered. She is so practical!" #MyFirstASCO cancerletter.com/cancer-hist…

Jerry Yates (@RoswellPark)'s #MyFirstASCO 50yrs ago: "There were 200-300 at the meeting. I presented the 7 & 3 regimen for treating AML and was petrified because all of the big names in cancer were there." An argument broke out about historical controls. cancerletter.com/cancer-hist…
