iirc, Linagee launched a coin on Aug. 7, 2015, and also minted a handful of names before Aug. 20, 2015 (AyeAye creation date), starting with ‘MyFirstCoin’
Ownable things on Ethereum that predate AyeAyeCoin:
• About 40 generic coins
• Some "documents" full of hashes
• These words: MyFirstCoin, KRAK, BTRX, HHKB, YUNB, HashReg, UrlHint, ethcoinbase, eth
99% sure there's nothing fun in there. 🫡🫡
🔷Linagee Supply (1)
There were only 63 names registered in 2015 (60) and 2016 (3) before the rediscovery in 2022
The first registration „MyFirstCoin“ dates from August 08, 2015
The next 40 registrations happened on August 25, 2015 and also include the first emoji (🐰)
Did you know that the first NFT on Ethereum was the Linagee name "MyFirstCoin"?
MyFirstCoin was minted only 9 days after the Ethereum genesis block was mined!
Solid relics from the very early days of Ethereum:
1) TestCoin - first ownable thing
2) MyFirstCoin - first nondivisible ownable thing
3) KRAK - first 69 ETH name registration
4) EthereumPyramid - first ownable Ponzi (I think)
5) MistCoin - deep connection to old Mist Browser
From what I gather it’s “the first deployed ‘NFT’ smart contract” but never minted a token so first “NFT” remains MyFirstCoin which was minted on @LinageeDomains
I guess a philosophical question to ask if can something be non-fungible without being owned by something
2/5
In the Discord and the recently published @nftnow article, 60 is mentioned as the number of 2015/16 registrations. I may be wrong, but I was only able to find 54 from 2015 and 3 from 2016 (total 57). The first registration „MyFirstCoin“ dates from August 08, 2015.
Linagee Name Registrar was rediscovered yesterday as the oldest NFT contract on Ethereum. Here are the names registered prior to 2022.

They're all three different. I'm in the minority but TEST is the winner imho.
- .bit domains expire so they're different. 1 of 1 but not a token.
- MyFirstCoin is a fake 1 of 1 that doesn't expire, but misleading (there's 3 - on each ETH fork)
- TEST is not an NFT, not a 1 of 1
This is definitely going to be HUGE! as the team has been an inspiration in their innovative approaches towards achieving the project goals and visions.
