i think so, but kicad is catching up with each release, but altium still wins in most categories though:
- hierarchical design/multi channel
- better annotation (signal harnesses, cross referencing, diff pairs, netclasses with rules)
- library management (local DBs, cloud, mfg part search)
- BOM generation (variants, alternates)
- schematic ERC that actually catches mistakes rather than just spam annoying warnings (you do need to set it up properly though)
i personally just find it to be more intuitive and smooth to use.
