Bubble just made a small change that will have a big impact for builders.
The API Connector is no longer hidden away as a plugin. It now has its own dedicated tab in the Bubble editor.
If you build apps on Bubble, the API Connector is one of the most important features in the whole platform. It is what allows you to connect your app to tools like OpenAI, Anthropic, Stripe, CRMs, internal systems, shipping providers, and almost any third-party service your product depends on.
For a long time, one of the biggest issues was discoverability. Many newer Bubble users did not even realize how central the API Connector was because it felt like an optional add-on instead of a core part of app development.
This update fixes that.
A few improvements I especially like:
• the API Connector now lives directly in the editor
• API collections and calls are easier to see and navigate
• initialized responses are visible on the main page
• shared headers stay in context while setting up calls
• cURL import is now more prominent, which makes setup faster
For founders and product teams, this means a smoother path to building more advanced Bubble apps without unnecessary friction.
For developers, it is another sign that Bubble is continuing to invest in serious product-building workflows, especially for API integrations, AI features, payments, and automation.
This is a smart move from Bubble, and I think it will make external integrations feel more like a first-class part of the platform, which they should have always been.
If you are building a Bubble app that needs API integration, Stripe setup, AI features, or workflow automation, this update makes the process even more accessible.
What API Connector improvement would you still love to see next?
