iOS の HEIF エクスポーターは strukturag/libheif と(あと nokiatech/heif/ とも)微妙に違うバイナリ列をはくので、Apple は独自な気もする。
libheifが困りもんで、こいつC で実装されてるくせに全機能を触るAPIはCしか生えてなくて、C APIは一部のみになってる。なんでそういう設計にする？誰だ使ってるやつは？

Adobe CC Lightroom は 2018 辺りから HEIF 画像を読めるのだけど、ImageMagick で生成した HEIF が駄目って issue があがってて、調べてみた限り nokiatech の sample 駄目だし GPAC のテスト画像も駄目だしで、iPhone でしかテストしてなさそうな雰囲気？

具体的には iPhone X の出力する heic は拡張子を消してもシグネチャで判別して heic として読める。nokiatech の gh-pages にあるサンプル画像の heif は拡張子を消すと処理できない。そんんだけ。
