We’re excited to welcome @janisgraubins, Founder and General Partner at @WTGVentures, to the Coinshift Founders Club.
Janis leads WTG Ventures, a hands-on value-add investor functioning as a SWAT team—actively scaling portfolio companies across Liquidity, Launch, Listing, and Growth.
He began his career as a Product Manager at Unit9, working with clients like Google and IBM, before founding Notakey in 2015, a company specializing in secure data infrastructure for major institutions, including Tier-1 banks and NATO. There, he led technical teams and successfully implemented solutions for critical infrastructure.
Janis has contributed to national legislation, including Latvia’s e-ID law and AML regulations, as well as to EU-level policy such as the Revised Payment Services Directive. He currently serves the European Commission as an expert on decentralized systems and databases, contributing to the EU Blockchain Observatory and the DG Grow working group.
Since 2018, he has also served as CTO at a leading web3 venture studio in Zurich, where he led a 30 person product team across backend, front-end, and smart contract development.
Janis’s deep technical expertise and leadership strengthen our mission to build the world’s first onchain treasury economy powered by SHIFT.
