After 3 months of using your app, I decided to switch to something else. Here is why: I want a note-taking app that works without account creation and logging in. Notesnook can be used without an account, but as long as the user is not logged in, the entire UI is full of persistent aggressive signup/login banners and nags. I don't want to see a constant reminder that I'm not logged in, or if I log in, then I get to use such and such features. I'm well aware of all the benefits of being logged in to an account because I researched them before even installing the app and made the CHOICE to NOT do it. The app shouldn't rub my choice in my face every time I open it. My expectation is for the login option to be buried deep in the settings, somewhere I will never go unless I am deliberately searching for the login option. If I'm not actively looking for a way to log in, the UI should look clean and free of any kind of banner or unnecessary login buttons.

NotesnookはiPhoneの機種変更で新端末にデータ移行できなかったから、辞めることにした。 やはり、Standard NotesとSimplenoteの併用かな。

Building single-file HTML tools for niche markets under my LLC — Bitcoin mining profitability calculators, hatchery management apps, pet services business tools. AI accelerates the dev cycle; I prototype faster and validate market fit quicker. On the personal side: privacy-first knowledge system (Notesnook Notion), open-source releases on GitHub, gig delivery stacking, and homesteading work (quail, alpacas, peafowl rescue). AI helps me stay organized across multiple revenue streams and keeps my creative projects moving. The throughput gain is real — AI is my multiplier for shipping faster while maintaining quality.

I decided to slowly move away from Google, not because I hate it, but because I wanted more control over my data. Right on, thank you. Probably silly to some people, but that’s the one thing keeping me on Apple Notes. Standard and Notesnook don’t have the feature.

Notion, Notesnook, Padlet y Raindrop. Para lo que es texto los dos primeros. Para imágenes y documentos los dos últimos. En cada caso lo clasificó o categorizo sino me vuelvo loco buscando el archivo en cuestión.

10 APPS YOU'RE PAYING FOR THAT HAVE A FREE TWIN NOBODY TELLS YOU ABOUT Every one of these does the exact same job as a tool you're being billed for monthly. Open-source. Yours forever. Cancel the subscription. 1. github.com/hexgrad/kokoro You're paying ElevenLabs $22/month for AI voices. This tiny model sounds just as human, runs offline on a laptop, and costs $0. It quietly embarrassed the entire paid-voice industry. 2. graphite.rs You're paying Adobe $60/month for Photoshop Illustrator. Graphite merges both into one node-based editor that runs in your browser. Free, open-source, and the one Adobe actually fears. 3. github.com/Stirling-Tools/St… You're paying Acrobat $20/month to edit PDFs. This does all of it merge, split, OCR, sign, compress on your own machine, so your documents never touch Adobe's servers. 4. notesnook.com You're trusting Notion and Evernote to read your private notes. Notesnook is zero-knowledge encrypted even the company hosting it can't read a single word. Open-source and free. 5. github.com/docmost/docmost Your company pays Atlassian $50k/year for Confluence a wiki everyone hates. Docmost is the open-source replacement: real-time docs, wikis, permissions, self-hosted, $0. 6. tuta.com You're letting Gmail scan every email you write. Tuta encrypts everything even the subject line and your contacts under EU privacy law. Free, ad-free, unreadable to anyone but you. 7. github.com/henrygd/beszel Companies pay Datadog $15 per server just to draw a CPU graph. Beszel does it beautifully, self-hosted, on hardware that costs nothing. Monitor your whole setup for $0. 8. rxresu.me Every resume site holds your finished resume hostage behind a $20 "premium download." Reactive Resume is open-source, unlimited, and free and your data never leaves your hands. 9. shotcut.org Every "free" video editor watermarks your export to force the upgrade. Shotcut is genuinely free, open-source, handles 4K on a weak laptop, and never watermarks a thing. 10. github.com/mudler/LocalAI You're paying through OpenAI's API for every AI app you touch. LocalAI is a drop-in replacement that runs on your own hardware same API, zero cost, zero data sent to anyone. You're not bad with money. You just never knew the free twin existed. Bookmark all 10 and start cancelling.

Notesnook has created a brilliant app yet like a lot of other apps - claim to be private and anonymous, yet their subscription service uses Google & Apple services, they DO NOT even accept crypto. Practice what you preach and protect the user. I’m sure if you had a separate option many would subscribe.
