Man. Shout out to all them OBAP folks cause each and every single one I know went through hell and back to be a much better pilot than their peers. (My Father helped desegregate the airlines after years in the service and all my brothers are pilots).

I hear you, but airlines still have VPs of DEI, attend mostly (if not all) hiring seminars from diversity groups, special groups at work for diversity groups, etc.. for example, Google where Delta is going for Pilot Recruiting Events in 2026. WAI, PAPA, OBAP, LPA and RTaG

A 17-year-old student, William Moore Jr., has made history by earning his private pilot’s license before finishing high school. He trained through the OBAP Aerospace Career Education (ACE) Academy, where he built his aviation foundation and prepared for solo flights. On his 17th birthday, he successfully completed his first solo flight and passed his FAA exam, officially becoming a licensed private pilot. Moore’s achievement highlights his dedication and discipline at a young age, especially in a field where early certification is rare. He now plans to continue his aviation journey and eventually become either a commercial airline pilot or a cargo pilot, aiming to inspire more young people to explore careers in aviation.

During this week's Regional Airline Association 2025 Leaders Conference in Washington, DC, WAI CEO Lynda Coffman participated in a panel discussion, "Partners in Progress: How Industry Organizations Strengthen Regional Aviation and the Industry." His comment was directly related to DEI and Affirmative action. Your basing it wasn't lowered on what data/Information? OBAP organizations study done in 1976 was before DEI and AA. Universities and organizations have been graduating certain groups of people in the name of diversity by lowering education standards for 49 years since then.
