Sybil Check Update
On September 25, the Vesting Unlock was scheduled to take place. However, many users were marked as ineligible. This happened because the OVERTAKE team had to urgently apply additional sybil detection logic across both on-chain and off-chain activities.
Some examples are:
- On-chain activity: Consolidating
$TAKE from two or more accounts into a single wallet was classified as sybil behavior. In one case, this pattern involved over 16,000 wallets.
- Off-chain activity: Cases where the same IP address was repeatedly used to connect multiple SUI wallets to claim
$TAKE were flagged as sybil behavior.
Through this process, numerous wallets were identified for sybil-like activity. As a result, the detection logic was applied broadly, which unfortunately caused inconvenience for some legitimate users.
Rest assured, users who did not engage in abusive behavior will have their ineligibility status lifted.
