I woke up this morning, checked my Cookie dashboard, and was greeted with a badge calling me “loyal to @overtake_world .” I had to laugh, it funny how even Cookie recognizes the journey we’ve been on with $TAKE.
At the same time, it’s frustrating to see my wallet flagged as Sybil in the recent distribution round. I know many others are in the same position, and the silence from the team so far is hard. Still, I trust that this will be addressed soon. fairness is too important to overlook.
Personally, I still believe KYC (at least optional) could be a strong step forward. It would cut through the Sybil issue and ensure that rewards truly go to real community members who have been building alongside Overtake for months.
Despite the frustration, I’m still bullish on $TAKE.. I just hope the team steps up and makes this right because the community deserves better….

Transparency matters, and I believe @overtake_world will continues to show they’re serious about fairness…
For the 2nd $TAKE distribution, over 16k wallets were flagged as Sybil accounts. While that raised questions across the community, the team responded quickly opening a form for anyone who believes they were flagged unfairly….
Personally, I think future distributions could be even stronger with an added layer of KYC. It would help eliminate Sybil abuse completely and make sure rewards go to real contributors who believe in OVERTAKE long-term.
At the end of the day, $TAKE is built for sustainability, not shortcuts. Every challenge handled well makes the foundation stronger….
I really believe kyc could be a strong solution to this ..

Sybil Check Update
On September 25, the Vesting Unlock was scheduled to take place. However, many users were marked as ineligible. This happened because the OVERTAKE team had to urgently apply additional sybil detection logic across both on-chain and off-chain activities.
Some examples are:
- On-chain activity: Consolidating $TAKE from two or more accounts into a single wallet was classified as sybil behavior. In one case, this pattern involved over 16,000 wallets.
- Off-chain activity: Cases where the same IP address was repeatedly used to connect multiple SUI wallets to claim $TAKE were flagged as sybil behavior.
Through this process, numerous wallets were identified for sybil-like activity. As a result, the detection logic was applied broadly, which unfortunately caused inconvenience for some legitimate users.
Rest assured, users who did not engage in abusive behavior will have their ineligibility status lifted.
We deeply appreciate your understanding as we work to uphold fairness and trust in the community.
