While kids in China and Japan are building apps, coding robots, and pushing tech boundaries by 21, many young Nigerians are being told their fulfillment depends on speaking in tongues for 6 straight hours. No wonder we're lagging behind as a nation. My neighbor was literally practicing 'gibberish' the other day because her pastor said 'just say anything carelessly and the Holy Spirit will perfect it.' But in Acts 2, the apostles didn't practice or force it, the Spirit came suddenly and enabled them to speak real languages for God's purpose. We need more emphasis on education, critical thinking, and skills that move society forward, not man-made formulas for spiritual experiences. Nigeria will rise when we prioritize substance over spectacle.
