DG CISF Praveer Ranjan chaired an Operational Review Meeting in Chandigarh to assess preparedness across the North Sector and Airport Sector. Discussions focused on strengthening critical infrastructure security, enhancing inter-agency coordination, and adopting advanced technologies for aviation and border security.
Special emphasis was laid on counter-drone preparedness, anti-sabotage measures, disaster response, and joint training exercises with the Indian Army and NDRF. CISF’s phased Counter-Drone Training Programme is equipping personnel with advanced capabilities to detect and neutralize hostile UAV threats in sensitive border regions.
CISF also reviewed modernization initiatives at airports, including Digi Yatra, Full Body Scanners, CCTV analytics, PIDS, and ATRS systems. DG CISF reaffirmed the force’s commitment to proactive, technology-driven, and citizen-centric security measures to safeguard the nation’s critical infrastructure.
