Been heads down for a while now and this is what its been for.
We are forking our own custom version of Godot. Not just tweaking settings, actually building engine level systems from scratch that our game is going to need. Globe scale world streaming, double precision coordinates, custom editor tooling, all baked in before we write a single line of game code.
We want to sort the foundations first so when we get to the fun stuff nothing is holding us back.
Still a lot to do but seeing it open and running for the first time today felt pretty good ngl.
