Egypt is set to host the Nile Basin States Summit in 2025, marking a significant opportunity for regional collaboration on managing effectively the Nile water resources and addressing political challenges related to it.
Leaders from Nile Basin countries, including Burundi, Democratic Republic of Congo, Egypt, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Sudan, South Sudan, and Tanzania, are expected to attend.
Over the years, PAM has been fully committed to support its member states, especially Egypt, in raising awareness of the international community over the issues regarding the sustainable and concerted management of the water of the Nile, which is beneficial for the prosperity of the populations of all the nations involved.
PAM supports any diplomatic initiatives that advance regional stability and cooperation that are essential for ensuring long-lasting peace.
