i agree 100% on using footprints that you didn't create/verify yourself.
pcblibraries is a tool to generate footprints for yourself. it's made by Tom Hausherr who is basically the OG architect of modern standards in pcb cad libraries (he is the prime mover behind IPC-7351)
i've made 1000s of parts with this tool without a single issue.

Last week a @pbclibrary member asked for a good thriller, said she only reads men authors but would trust me. Gave her Into the Black Nowhere by @MegGardiner1 & today she thanked me & checked out another Gardiner book. Love my job!
