Interested in caching and #PowerShell classes? Don't know what side project to pick next?
I want to expand the number of available eviction policies in PSCache and your contributions are more than welcome :) github.com/IISResetMe/PSCach…
@IISResetMe Thanks for PSCache session in @PSConfAsia :) I was playing around with PSCache and I can see the real difference out of 100 XML file parsing. I know I am not using the latest (alpha version) but I just started with "current version".You did a great job. Thanks again
New Pre-Release version of PSCache out, with built-in LRU/MRU/LFU eviction policies 😱
Try it now with
Install-Module -Name PSCache -AllowPrerelease

September will be another Month of #PowerShell for me - now on 3 different continents! 🛫😎
Sept. 9: PowerShell and AD security @rtpsug
Sept. 19-21: PSCache and PowerShell Regex in Bangalore for @PSConfAsia
Sept. 28: PowerShell AST Visitors @psdayuk
This is correct. PSCache, as implemented currently, is just a dictionary-based object store, not an actual cache. Eviction policy facility is in the works for the next version 🙂
Just published my first module (finally!) to PSGallery! 🤯
Very happy to announce that PSCache is now available from anywhere, after considerable pressure from @scrthq and @jbirley! 🥳
Get started with `Install-Module PSCache` today!
. @IISResetMe this still makes me sad :-(. I'd love to include this with some of my own modules like PSGSuite for perf gains, but I would rather not include PSCache with my own module code directly. Anything I can help with to make magic happen? :D
I've had to capitulate to a creeping headache and get some rest, but @MrThomasRayner swoops in and saves the day like the legend he is ❤️
My PSCache/Performance talk will be on Thursday at 11am! #PSHSummit
On Tuesday, looking forward to PoshUD, psake, and PSCache sessions. #PSHSummit Beyond Tuesday, playing it by ear for the most part. So much overlap of great stuff.
In April I'll be giving a presentation at #PSHSummit on PSCache - a fancy name for an abstraction that stores things in a [hashtable]
It's pretty efficient already, but I want to make it more... observable! Hit/miss-ratio etc. How do I decide which metrics to collect?! @reyjrar
Catch up on "PSCache - simple strategies for magnificent performance" and "Parselmouth - bending the #PowerShell language" sessions with @IISResetMe at #PSHSummit 2019. More info here: bit.ly/2RTA8VJ
