PSDF joined senior representatives from government, industry, and development partners at “Pakistan Works: Building the Jobs and Skills Agenda”, a high-level dialogue hosted by the The World Bank Group alongside the European Union in Pakistan, Asian Development Bank (ADB), and Pakistan Business Council.
The discussion centred on some of the most pressing issues facing the sector today: strengthening trust in qualifications, shifting from enrolment-based funding to employment outcomes, and building a more effective labour mobility ecosystem that connects skilled talent to opportunities.
PSDF CEO, Ahmed Khan, participated in the ‘Financing the Jobs Agenda’ panel, highlighting the importance of outcome-based financing as a mechanism to align incentives, improve accountability, and mobilise both public and private investment in skills development.
As Pakistan continues to navigate a rapidly evolving labour market, collaborative action and outcome-focused reforms will be critical to building a workforce that is competitive, employable, and future-ready.
