Officer Carl changed a lot of kids lives. He showed up to the hospital when my friend had her baby, he never stopped being there for us. He knew us since 6th grade. I heard he passed but hopefully I just heard wrong. A few people I grew up with were at PSLPD because of him.

Governor DeSantis, zero tolerance for fraud should not stop there. What about alleged fraud, conflicting statements, and unresolved contradictions surrounding my twin brother Calvin Berry’s death investigation involving PSLPD and the current St. Lucie Sheriff DelToro? This image reflects four incompatible explanations for how (my twin brother who was a mailman for 30 years) Calvin Berry died — yet criminal review has occurred. Florida families deserve truth, transparency, and accountability. Zero tolerance should mean equal scrutiny for everyone. justice4calvin.com #Justice4Calvin #TransparencyMatters

BUT Wait. PSLPD will respond. If the HOA demands a trespass warning issued, they'll probably do it. Although I think this particular HOA is the common area (shops) open to the public.

Police Will Not Enforce Florida HOA’s Neighborhood Gun Ban How can an HOA make rules that go against our 2A rights? 🤔 This should never be allowed to even be considered! Thank you to LE for refusing to enforce this. 🤗 I say sue the hell out of the very people who tried to pull this stunt! 😉 US citizens should be able to carry protection anytime they wish! From the article: A gun ban for “common areas” in Port St. Lucie, Florida’s Tradition Community Association will not be enforced by Port St. Lucie Police Department. WPTV reported that the ban applies to “areas [including] the Town Hall, Tradition Square, gazebo, splash pad, tot lot, dog park, parks, trails and stormwater areas throughout the Port St. Lucie development.” Moreover, residents are barred from carrying a gun in said areas for self-defense even if they possess a concealed carry permit. CBS 12 posted a statement released by Port St. Lucie police wherein they explained that they will not enforce the HOA ban: The Port St. Lucie Police Department enforces Florida State Law – not private HOA policies or community association rules. PSLPD fully supports the constitutional rights afforded to all law-abiding citizens, including the rights protected under the Second Amendment. Responsible firearm ownership remains a protected right under both the United States Constitution and Florida law, and our officers will continue to uphold and protect those rights while enforcing the law fairly and impartially. Taylor Welsh lives in the Traditions HOA and believes the ban was instituted in a way that took everyone by surprise. Welsh said, “As gun owners ourselves we just felt like it was very subversive to do something like this behind everyone’s backs because it seems like no one had prior notice.” She added, “While this is a safe community, we have seen an uptick in incidents around here where I would personally just feel better if I was allowed to still carry around the parks, the walking trails.” Port St. Lucie councilman Anthony Bonna (R) says the ban violates Second Amendment rights and he plans to fight it. I retired from PSLPD. (well before this). While the park has some vicarious liability - the mother is to blame as well. She should know better than to let a little child drive the cart.

Megyn, it’s been 5 years and my life has never gone back to normal. My twin brother Calvin Berry was reported missing 3/11/21 in Port St. Lucie. Day 2: A ransom demand for his safe return. Day 3: His body appears behind his house in an area already searched. Within 48hours, police ruled it an accident. The entire activity appeared staged from the moment I received the 3am call that he was missing. Five years later, we are still fighting for answers. Families like Nancy Guthrie’s and mine deserve real investigations. PSLPD ignored all the red flags and failed my brother. #JusticeForCalvin justice4calvin.com youtu.be/wItEgIXlSnw?si=9egz…
