Part 1/4: D-Tackle Power Entry Angle Most defensive tackles rush the passer with no plan. Great defensive tackles understand that their Entry Angle Alignment determines everything. The Power Entry Angle aligns the defensive tackle to attack the outside half of the offensive guard and work vertically through the pocket. Power Entry Angle is 2 yards from the LOS, to the outside foot/heel of the OG. The goal isn't to run around the blocker. The goal is to press the pocket, close escape lanes, and force the quarterback off his spot. Why we teach the Power Entry Angle: ✅ Presses the pocket vertically ✅ Closes the A-gap and B-gap escape lanes ✅ Sets up inside counters when the guard oversets ✅ Complements edge pressure by eliminating the QB's step-up lane Rush Plan: 1️⃣ Power Edge 2️⃣ ---Part 2 3️⃣ ---Part 3 Most quarterbacks want to step up when edge pressure arrives. The Power Entry Angle takes that option away. Alignment creates angles. Angles create sacks. The Standard isn't to compete. It's to dominate. #DLineU #PassRush #DefensiveLine #DefensiveTackle #PassRushDevelopment #DetailsMatter Want more Free D-Line Content, subscribe to get my Weekly #DLineU Standard Newsletter: d-line-u.kit.com/b8c8c94fed
