My favourite part of this week was when Grade 5/6s @PortWellerPS were given #Tessellations and were asked to create repeating and growing patterns. BJ shared her #GrowingPattern which led to a great discussion of #SquareNumbers and #PatternRules. @TeatherBoard @MarkChubb3 1/2

We love using read alouds in Math. Today we viewed a pattern book, worked on identifying the core, naming the pattern using letters and describing the attributes. We then explored our patterning activities around the room. #patterning #grade2 #patternrules #readaloudsinmath
