🛠️ DevLog – Credit-Gated User Task Execution (WIP) We're testing a new credit-gating mechanism to enforce that only funded sessions can run user tasks. 🔹 How It Works (Experimental) - During node assignment, the Payment Module will check and credit the session. - Tasks will only execute if sufficient credit is available. - This introduces a pay-to-run flow into the user task pipeline. 🔹 Why It Matters This aligns session execution with payment logic - a key step toward a sustainable, usage-based inference economy. 🔹 Coming Soon Once live, all developers and node ops will need test $COR on Arbitrum Sepolia to fund sessions before running tasks. Detailed instructions will follow shortly. #Cortensor #DevLog #UserTasks #PaymentModule #AIInfra #DePIN #Web3

🗓️ Weekly Focus – Version Tracking, User Flow Enhancements, and Ecosystem Iteration This week marks the final week of both our 1st Internal Mini-Hackathon and DevNet5 Phase #4 - bringing us closer to a testnet-ready user task flow. 🔹 NodeVersion Module – Finalizing logic to track historical versions of all nodes across the network. This improves visibility, helps enforce consistency, and lays groundwork for quality-based filtering. 🔹 User Task Flow Enhancements – Continued refining session reliability, node assignment, and task tracking – extending last week’s progress with more edge case handling and scoring design. 🔹 Hackathon Support – Final Week – Supporting builders as they wrap up bots, apps, and tooling from the 2-week Mini-Hackathon. Several bugs and UX improvements emerged directly from this collaboration. 🔹 DevNet5 Phase #4 – Final Week of Testing – Continued stress-testing ephemeral nodes and scaling user task flows across sessions to validate end-to-end reliability under load. 🔹 Network Task Level Design – Continued brainstorming on categorizing nodes by compute capabilities to better match model demands. Early scaffolding is in place. 🔹 Session Payment Module – Iterating on the PoC to improve fund management, credit flow, and upcoming payout logic - a critical piece for a sustainable inference economy. #Cortensor #WeeklyRecap #DevLog #DePIN #DecentralizedAI

🔍 Overview: What is the OVERTAKE Payment Module? The OVERTAKE Payment Module enables seamless transactions using both crypto (e.g. USDC) and fiat (credit cards, local payments). It is designed to remove barriers for Web2 users while maintaining on-chain transparency and asset security. 🎯 Core Objectives ✅ Lower the entry barrier for non-crypto users ✅ Enable unified transactions between Web2 (fiat) and Web3 (crypto) participants ✅ Maintain on-chain integrity using escrow-based smart contracts 💡 Why It Matters Most Web3 games require: Wallet setup Token purchase Bridging & swapping Complex user flows OVERTAKE simplifies this by allowing: Credit/debit card payments (no wallet needed) USDC payments for Web3-native users Both payment types to interact with the same marketplace 🔁 How It Works — Technical Flow 1️⃣ Escrow-Based Listing All assets listed for sale are held in on-chain escrow The asset remains locked until payment is successfully processed 2️⃣ Smart Payment Routing If buyer uses fiat: → Fiat is auto-converted to USDC via backend infrastructure → No crypto knowledge required If buyer uses crypto: → Standard USDC transfer via wallet 3️⃣ Settlement Once payment is validated: Asset is released from escrow to the buyer Seller receives USDC or fiat, depending on preference 🛡️ Key Technologies Behind It Smart contract escrow system Fiat-to-crypto bridge via OVERTAKE backend Session-based wallets for Web2 users (via Web3Auth / Magic.link) Sui blockchain for low-cost, real-time execution 👤 What Does a Web2 User Need? A payment method (e.g. credit card, Apple Pay, Kakao Pay) An identity link (email, social login, or temp wallet) Nothing else — onboarding to purchase can happen in under 1 minute From their perspective: 🛍️ “I bought a game item.” From the system’s perspective: ✅ “You executed a fully on-chain escrow-secured transaction.” 🌐 Why This Changes Everything Removes friction for non-crypto gamers Enables true Web2 ↔ Web3 trade interoperability Brings mass adoption closer by merging UX simplicity with blockchain security This is not just payment infrastructure — it’s the backbone of a new game economy. OVERTAKE is turning “how do I pay?” into “however you want.” 🚀 #OVERTAKE #PaymentModule #FiatToCrypto #Web3ForEveryone #EscrowPayments #GameEconomy #CryptoUX #SuiBlockchain

How OVERTAKE Payment Module Works OVERTAKE Payment Module (Crypto Fiat) was introduced in the roadmap and closed beta announcement. Its goal is simple: allow users to make transactions using both crypto (like USDC) and traditional fiat methods (credit cards, local payments, etc.). In other words, it removes all barriers for Web2 users to buy and sell game items just like they’re used to. What makes this important? OVERTAKE isn’t just targeting Web3 native users. It’s designed so that even gamers who’ve never touched crypto can still buy an item with a credit card in seconds. - You can pay with USDC or fiat - You don’t need a wallet to start - The entire process onboarding to checkout can be done in under a minute Why does this matter? Web3 is still intimidating for most users. Creating a wallet, buying tokens, bridging chains, swapping assets... it’s overwhelming. OVERTAKE understood that and built the Payment Module to fix it. Web3 users can pay with USDC. Web2 users can pay with cards. All trades are protected by Escrow, and the asset ownership is identical for both sides. But how can a Web2 user with a card and a Web3 user with USDC trade the same asset? This is possible thanks to OVERTAKE backend infrastructure, on chain escrow system, and integrated payment layer. Here’s a simplified flow of how it works: How the System Works (Technical Flow) 1.All assets are held in on chain Escrow - Items listed for sale are locked in a smart contract escrow - Nothing moves until the payment is complete 2.Routing depends on the buyer’s payment method - If a Web2 user pays with a card, the fiat is automatically converted to USDC behind the scenes - This process is fully automated by OVERTAKE backend no crypto knowledge required 3.Both parties get the same outcome - The buyer receives the asset - The seller gets paid in either USDC or fiat, depending on preference Why this is possible Escrow mediates all trades - Assets only move when conditions are met. That’s enforced by smart contracts. OVERTAKE payment layer connects Web2 and Web3 - Fiat and crypto become interchangeable when routed through the system. Fast execution via the Sui blockchain - Enables low-cost, real-time interaction—so even Web2 users experience seamless UX. What does a Web2 user actually need to use it? 1.A payment method - Credit card or local payment options (Apple Pay, Kakao Pay, etc.) - Fiat is auto converted to USDC during the transaction 2.A way to link their identity to the transaction - This can be an email login, social account, or a Web2-friendly wallet solution (like Web3Auth or Magic.link) - These methods generate a session wallet or temp key used for the escrow contract 3.Nothing else - From the user’s perspective, they’re just buying an item - In the backend: → The payment is linked to a wallet → The escrow smart contract is triggered → Conditions are checked → Ownership is transferred when complete So even if a user doesn’t know what a wallet is, they’re still participating in a fully on-chain escrow transaction just through a temporary or managed wallet under the hood. The era of worrying about how to pay in Web3 games is over. Now the payment method adapts to the user not the other way around. That’s the foundation of the game economy OVERTAKE is building. @overtake_world @KaitoAI #OVERTAKE #PaymentModule #CryptoFiatBridge #Web3Onboarding #SmartContractPayments #FiatGateway #USDCIntegration #SeamlessUX #Web3ForEveryone #EscrowProtected
