The panel underscored the inseparability of peacekeeping and peacebuilding in addressing the increasingly complex and multidimensional nature of contemporary conflicts. It called for a shift from conflict management to conflict resolution, emphasizing sustainable peace. In this context, India has emerged as a key contributor to
#UN peacekeeping operations and is increasingly supporting peacebuilding efforts through its broader development
#partnerships in human resource development,
#infrastructure, and
#security capacity-building. The discussion also highlighted the financial constraints facing the United Nations, which limit its ability to sustain long-term peacebuilding engagements.
