ALT Our client had severe combined immunodeficiency, lung damage, muscle weakness, and chronic fatigue. They had received the higher rate of the daily living component of DLA for years - but when they were re-assessed for PIP, DWP awarded them just 7 points, not enough for any PIP. This meant our client stopped receiving disability benefits, and their carer lost their Income Support, Carer's Credit, and Carer's Allowance. With the support of one of our partners at Hogan Lovells, our Tribunal Representation Service appealed this decision. After a few brief questions, the Tribunal quickly decided DWP’s decision was wrong, and awarded our client enhanced daily living for five years.

ALT Our client's disability benefits were stopped entirely when they transferred from DLA to PIP. Their previous rate was restored after we represented them at tribunal with an award for enhanced rate daily living and standard rate care.
