🌿 New Blog Post: Empowering Public Health Through Microscopy in the Peruvian Amazon 🔬🇵🇪
In May, Foldscope partnered with Innovalab to lead a workshop for public health workers from the Gerencia Regional de Salud (GERESA) Loreto in Iquitos, Peru, in the heart of the Amazon rainforest.
The session was led by Paola Moreno Roman, our Strategic Partnerships Consultant, and brought together public health professionals to explore how Foldscope, our low cost paper microscope, can support disease surveillance, environmental monitoring, and science education in remote communities.
This workshop highlights the power of accessible tools to strengthen public health and expand scientific capacity.

Similar to Delfin's family-owned and operated nature, which focuses on an eco-boutique experience, he spotlights Bhutan's Gangtey Lodge.
He shares, “High above its namesake valley, Gangtey Lodge focuses on the five keys to well-being as the Bhutanese believe.” From guided meditations with monks to hikes among towering blue pines, Gangtey Lodge offers a deeply spiritual and cultural escape.
