#Katowice dzielą się doświadczeniami podczas spotkania partnerów projektu UPSURGE w Bredzie! 🌍 W październiku przedstawiciele Katowic wzięli udział w spotkaniu projektu UPSURGE, które odbyło się w Bredzie (Holandia) 🇳🇱. Wspólnie z partnerami z całej Europy rozmawialiśmy o tym, jak miasta mogą przeciwdziałać zmianom klimatu i ograniczać zjawisko miejskich wysp ciepła ☀️. Zaprezentowaliśmy efekty działań w Katowicach 🌿 – m.in. zielone przystanki, zielone dachy i ogrody ziołowe 🌱, które powstały w ramach projektu. Termowizja wykonana latem 2025 roku pokazała, że dachy i przystanki obsadzone roślinnością potrafią być nawet o kilka stopni chłodniejsze od otoczenia 🌡️. Katowickie rozwiązania wdrożone m. in. przy ul. Jagiellońskiej, w rejonie Szpitala w Ochojcu, przy ZOO 🐾, na przystanku Dąb Kościół oraz na Rynku stały się inspiracją dla innych miast uczestniczących w projekcie 💡. W każdym z tych miejsc poprawiła się estetyka, komfort mieszkańców i mikroklimat 🌸. Podczas wizyty w Bredzie zapoznaliśmy się z lokalnymi rozwiązaniami opartymi na naturze (NBS), które wspierają retencję wody 💧 oraz angażują mieszkańców w działania na rzecz środowiska 🤝. Miasto zaprezentowało m. in. ogrody społeczne, niecki retencyjne przy placach zabaw i drogach, służące do gromadzenia wody po ulewnych deszczach, a także przykłady rozszczelnienia nawierzchni i nowych nasadzeń zwiększających bioróżnorodność i zdolność retencyjną terenu.
