Day 1: The Realistic Scenario
The Spurs will very likely run the main chunk of the roster back (Fox, Harper, Castle, Vassell, Champagnie, Wemby) while letting Barnes, Olynyk, Bismack, Plumlee go
With that being said, there is about 20-25 million dollars to be spent for the Spurs in free agency after the draft this offseason (without touching the 2nd apron)

THE DRAFT;
Pick 20 - Allen Graves 6’8 F Santa Clara
Graves is an analytical dream and has the possibility to be an elite real player. As a former PG who hit a growth spurt, he has elite feel at the PF position as well as real offensive rebounding ability. On top of this he’s a capable shooter and stock generator. There isn’t really anything he can’t do on the floor, with the only real worry being his athletic translation.
Graves would solve many issues listed above. We would get both stock generation and feel out of our wings/front court which would help gain more possessions and capitalize in (maybe) hub offense opportunities. He also would maintain floor spacing with his projected shooting capabilities.
Pick 35 - Trevon Brazile 6’9 PF Arkansas
Elite athlete and rim talent. Great off ball and in PnR. Capable shooter. Above average defensive capabilities. Nothing too crazy from a feel perspective. Checks multiple boxes and would be a safe 2nd round pick
Pick 42 - Bruce Thornton
Elite guard scorer that can provide depth and a scoring spark amongst the guards

FREE AGENCY:
In this realistic scenario, I truthfully don’t see the Spurs being super active and free agency outside of one or two people on cheaper contracts. While these aren’t necessarily my favorite options, I see them being realistic.
FREE AGENT SIGNING 1 - Robert Williams
Elite vertical spacer and lob threat. Elite offensive rebounder generating extra possessions. Anchors bench units defensively as switchable rim protector who can guard 4s and 5s, matching athletic, positionless lineups other teams throw out. Keep Kornet and let Rob be there for depth and playoffs.
FREE AGENT SIGNING 2 - Luke Kennard
Movement/relocation shooting that could completely open the floor for any unit he’s in. He has skill the Spurs are severely lacking.

This offseason scenario would leave the Spurs depth looking like the following picture
While it’s not my favorite, I truly see it being a realistic outcome. It would address multiple of the Spurs issues, while not doing anything too adventurous.
