Just finished sampling this monster yesterday!!!! The PKM is a belt-fed, general-purpose machine gun designed by Mikhail Kalashnikov. It has been a staple of Soviet and Russian military forces since its introduction in the early 1960s and remains in service with many armed forces worldwide. Weighing approximately 16.5 lbs without ammunition, the PKM is significantly lighter than other machine guns in its class. It features a stamped steel receiver and a quick-change barrel, allowing for continuous firing in high-intensity engagements. The PKM is fed from a 100- or 200-round non-disintegrating metal belt and is typically mounted on a bipod or tripod for improved stability during sustained fire.
