It’s Privacy Awareness Week, and this year’s theme, improving transparency, accountability, and security, is especially relevant as we explore the complex relationship between AI and biometrics.
To address confusion surrounding biometrics, especially facial recognition, the Biometrics Institute is releasing a discussion paper. The paper aims to untangle the issues surrounding AI and biometrics, and define artificial intelligence within the context of biometrics with a new entry in our Explanatory Dictionary.
We invite you to contribute to shaping a common understanding by taking part in the conversations as we ask:
• How would you define the relationship between AI and biometrics?
• Biometrics & AI?
• How does AI interact with biometrics?
These discussions will take place at our upcoming events.
