ANNOUNCEMENT: About a year and a half ago, I made a somewhat-cryptic announcement that the data removal startup I co-founded, Removaly, had been acquired, and that I was leaving my workplace at Crowley to join the acquiring company. In that time, the details of what I have been working on since have been kept under wraps. I am proud to officially announce today that I have been a part of the incredible team at @DuckDuckGo, Removaly's acquirer. One of my main goals at DuckDuckGo since joining in November 2022 has been assisting with the development and launch of our incredible new subscription bundle, Privacy Pro, which was officially announced today and includes Personal Information Removal, which builds on the service we had at Removaly. If you would have asked me five years ago where I thought my career trajectory was headed, I would have never thought it would be in the tech space. But I am so glad it did. Working at DuckDuckGo has already been transformative. It's amazing to see the output and reach of such a well-oiled machine, and it is comforting knowing that there is a company out there putting privacy first, and actually walking the walk, not just talking the talk. I can't wait to see where #PrivacyPro takes #DuckDuckGo, and how many people we can help keep safe online. In the meantime, check out the announcement in the next post to see what I've been working on behind-the-scenes all this time.
