Yes, #progressivism embodied some ugly #authoritarian impulses. Besides the State interventions mentioned, it was also largely responsible for two failed moral crusades that persist to this day – criminalizing #drugs (most notably the #Prohibition amendment) and #prostitution.

Progressivism, at core, is about dividing people so party members can skim trillions off the top. If it happens to blunder into civil war -- "revolution" -- the skim just accelerates.

When Libs say use the word thriving, what they mean is progressivism is thriving. Not business and not cultural life. The funding of Leftist NGOs is thriving. The homeless camps are thriving. The illegal drug trade; thriving.
Yesterday I asked Grok about Elons grudge with the left.. Like AI always does it listed several reasons but this part was the first Grok talked about. Parents aren’t forgiving when it comes to who or what harmed their kids. “Woke mind virus” and cultural issues: Musk calls extreme progressivism (identity politics, DEI mandates, gender ideology in schools/medicine, cancel culture) a civilizational threat that prioritizes feelings and division over merit, truth, and biology. He has linked this personally to his transgender child (whom he says was “killed” by the ideology) and broader concerns like declining birth rates and eroded free speech. He argues it replaced liberalism’s emphasis on kindness and reason with dogma, censorship, and reverse discrimination. wsj.com

[5/6] Clarence Thomas has laid it out: Woodrow Wilson was a traitor, and progressivism is a fraud — a pipeline to fund global public-private partnerships run by an international banking cartel that gave itself immunity in the 1940s and still has it today. ⚖️

In their worldview—also called progressivism—Elon Musk is a villain and George Floyd and Karmelo Anthony are model citizens. Journalism is now the megaphone for twisted degeneracy.
These two wrote an article called The Rise and Fall of Elon Musk. Elon Musk fell into history yesterday as the world’s first trillionaire. “Journalists.” 🤡

The regime behavior perfectly illustrates the dystopian reality of leftist progressivism. Leftists spent decades lecturing us on inclusion, yet their brilliant utopia treats a native woman defending her heritage as a public enemy. This pathetic two-tier policing coddles aggressive foreign assertion while terrorizing the actual taxpayers. They have successfully traded historical British common law for pure authoritarian tyranny.

And then Biden got voted out, Comey is under indictment and the J6 Committee AND Barry Sotero have “lawyered up”. I would call that “forward progress”. NOT to confused with Progressivism, which is a for of political cancer.

If only someone had a pithy way to say that. Perhaps something like "conservativism is progressivism driving the speed limit." MM

What they don’t know, because it’s never shown or told to them, is that there is a way to stop it. There’s a way to reverse all of the ungodly acts of violence, injustice, and societal decay brought about by the wave of progressivism:

Progressivism is the end of America. I don't think any sport event can make the same claim.

True progressivism means protecting your own people’s social contract first. Calling people pseudo revolutionaries just because they refuse to watch their country be stripped to the bone isn't clever, it's arrogant. We aren't fighting our own class; we are defending our own home.

Overcorrecting is a weakness of men. Progressivism is evil, so they rightfully push away from it…to another evil. I’ll also add that these actions are emotionally fueled, even if the intention is good. Yet the ultranationalistic fellas often malign women in public service or employment at all, often citing weakness and emotional tendencies as a reason. Sad.

It’s complicated. Most of us are sane people who don’t want to see the rights of women and girls disappear. That’s why when Seth Moulton came out against males in girls sports, he received praise from normal people, but it caused him to suffer politically for a number of reasons. Massachusetts is blue with pockets of hyper progressivism. However, the majority of voters here are registered unenrolled/independent, we regularly elect moderate republicans for governor, and we’ve got an out of control gerrymandering problem leading to the most progressive areas electing the most extreme candidates to the legislature. The democrats in the legislature tie paid leadership roles and electoral support to ideological conformity. Step a single toe out of line and kiss your political career goodbye. Moulton has clearly decided to kiss the ring to maintain political power. It’s disappointing, but not altogether surprising. readlion.com/poll-new-englan…
