Rejections are never easy!
Back in September we applied for a Canadian NSERC PromoScience outreach grant titled🧠Exploring the Brain Through STEM: Neuroscience Education for Canadian Youth.
The goal of the proposed project was to use the educational material created by @theNeuronFamily to educate kids about the brain - like hosting a series of bilingual, interactive science events connecting students, families, and educators with and hands-on neuroscience resources.
Unfortunately, we learned this week it wasn’t funded (success rate was 21.9%) 😒
While we already run a number of outreach events throughout the year, additional funding would allow us to offer these events more frequently and reach more kids.
In the past, we’ve received generous support from Canadian science organizations including @CAN_ACN , @aecrpain , Vision Science Network, and the @uMcGill McGill Integrated Program in Neuroscience. We’re grateful for these partnerships and for their help in spreading these resources.
We are also always open to new collaborations so please reach out if you know an organization that would like to help get these resources to more children!
