trump decimated the environmental protections in -place for this area in 2016. trump literally swept the environmental studies under the rug and tried to fast track this project. If it's so safe to mine for copper in the BWCA watershed, pass #proveItFirst.

We all deserve #CleanWater
DNR should not allow a copper mine near the BWCA, #proveitfirst as mine waste/tailings poison the area when the clay dam fails. This “Hail Mary” plan to spread tailings in clay is just as bad.

Just cuz, a quick refresher thread on the bentonite contested case that is still going on in the PolyMet matter. The next decision is with the DNR designee who will decide whether to adopt the judge's recommendation that the scheme is not "practical and workable." 1/🧵
