The College has voiced concerns that women are suffering in silence with poor mental health on International Womenβs Day. More than 40% of women wouldnβt feel comfortable talking to a family member about a mental health condition.

When we talk about binning the diagnosis of borderline personality disorder, we do so not to mask a pain so profound it can make life feel unliveable.
We do so to centre the person and the problem, to work towards help not harm.

The label of personality disorder is not an excuse to deny someone treatment.
Check the prejudice youβve been conditioned into.
Recognise it for what it is.
Then kick it away so you can hear and see the individual.
