The typical reaction to Old World structures I research and post on here is "well we were better craftsmen and that was the style of that era". With that being said if Chicago's water works was built this way simply because that was the style in the 1860's then is that all some of you need to believe this narrative? No question's asked? When I was taught history, I would have never guessed a structure like this, much less a water works building, would be in America. I bring this up not because I have answers I post this to practice the lost art of questioning what we are told. 🤔This topic has so much more to it which I will post! Stay tuned.
