Some of the most exciting parts of our 'job' come from seeing what our partners are creating. The industry keeps moving forward, and the people behind these products continue to raise the bar with how they tell their stories. This week we’re sharing a look at QuickStrip™ by Rapid Dose Therapeutics. Their team has been putting out some incredible content that showcases who they are and the technology behind their products, and it’s worth the spotlight. More great features coming soon as we highlight the suppliers shaping the future of this space!

An excuse I hear from people who don't carry a concealed firearm is that it's too inconvenient or because of how they dress, they can't easily conceal a gun. Let me present to you the S&W Airweight J-Frame and pocked holster. This is a Smith & Wesson Model 432 Ultimate Carry chambered for .32 H&R Magnum. The similar 642UC is made in .38 Special. I prefer the .32 due to less recoil and because it holds 6 shots vs. 5 for the .38. The 432UC weighs a hair over one pound unloaded. Loaded with six High Desert Cartridge Company .32 H&R Magnum 98 grain wadcutters it's not much heavier. I can carry this comfortably all day in the front left pocket of my pants, either jeans or as I did today, Duluth Trading Company shorts. With a pocket holster the outline of the gun is broken up and if anyone notices the bulge it looks like a wallet or cell phone. Aside from breaking up the gun's outline, it keeps the gun in a consistent position in your pocket so that you don't have to fish around for it to draw the piece. My holster is a "Pocket Protector" made by Simply Rugged (@simplyruggedrob). It's nicely made and the rough-out leather has enough friction to keep it in the pocket when you draw the gun. I bought mine from American Fighting Revolver. Another holster option that also works well is the DeSantis Nemesis. For a reload, I carry 6 rounds in an 8-round Quickstrip. This allows me to space out the cartridges so I can grip the strip more easily. If I'm wearing jeans this goes into the coin pocket. The reload is carried so that in the unfortunate event I have to use the gun I'm not left unarmed afterwards. I'm under no illusion that I'd be reloading during the middle of a fight. I prefer a revolver to sized semiautos for pocket carry. In my experience, pocket autos are more vulnerable to malfunctions than small revolvers. That said, if you have a pocket pistol like a Ruger LCP or Keltec P32 that runs reliably, by all means carry that. Remember Rule No.1: Have a gun.

Next up, I need to acquire some Quickstrip so I can take off all the parkerizing. The finish will be replaced with bluing (hot if I can manage it, but likely cold).
He may be banned, but maybe he'll see it anyway. Inspired by @booligancustoms work making a Fitz Special from a Rock Island M206, I'm doing the same thing. Obviously still needs a lot of finishing work, but it's functionally complete.

There’s a couple of products on Mendo you might like as an alternative, the hash rosin drops from Rosin Heads and the sublingual strips from Quickstrip. I haven’t tried them, but they might work for you.
