Your original point was that if it were just about money, those franchises would still be going. The fact is, they DID continue through sequels, TV shows, and live action remakes. Mind you the live action Aladdin remake literally made $1 billion at the box office.
Toy Story simply had a different creative model. It’s not that Disney abandoned Tarzan, Mulan, or Aladdin, it’s that they expanded them in different ways.
