The Maryland football family is heartbroken to learn of the passing of former radio analyst and alum, Tim Strachan. A 1999 graduate of Maryland, Tim served as a student assistant coach and later joined Johnny Holliday in the broadcast booth. Tim was an incredible motivational speaker that inspired all of us throughout his life. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of Tim's family and friends.

Difficult to forget this. Teenage son & mates went to Warrington & were very nearby. Phone call from him started 'don't worry we're ok, but..' Still makes me feel sick. Picked em up from outskirts & drove home with double the capacity of my little car #RIPTim #RIPJohnathan

Watched the Avicii doc on Netflix. Absolutely amazing look into one of the musical geniuses of a generation. A true artist. Beautifully done. Felt like he was talking to you. So sad, an awesome talent we won’t see again. #RIPTIM

Avicii was too talent and too pure for this world.
He had immense passion and loved his craft— creating, playing, exploring music.
It’s a shame that the music industry exploited his talent to the point where what he loved became something he hated.

Was bittersweet today to tune into the penultimate episode of Doctors and see the mighty Tim in what must have been one of his last acting roles.
It was fittingly titled ‘Go Out Dancing’.
