The thing is, piracy is a super inefficient method of playing games still. You download several dedicated emulators because RetroArch is ass, you have to set them all up right, find ROMs, patch some, set up controllers, and eat up all your storage space because of it.

These aren't executable files, they're roms. It's an ISO file. Like an image. Use CDR.

Has anyone played any #Pokemon ROM hacks/homebrews? I played Uranium years ago which was pretty fun but, I'm looking for recommendations of ROMs from newer gens, DS/3DS or new-ish GBA releases.

is insanely easy to hide apps and files and data on your phone There are several custom ROMs on the Android side that would allow you to even have a fake front end GUI. It was designed for people to be safe in places like Iran, Iraq, Russia, etc. It is already illegal for miners to own certain content on their phone, which is not being enforced. So good luck getting anything ike this to enforce on top of that. The cultural shift you should be aiming for is to force parents to take responsibility for their children and not to transfer responsibility to the state and affect other people.

Myrient shutting down was like the burning of the library of Alexandria. Sure, many roms have been archived, but the sheer ease and speed of use was unparalleled and no site since has came close to that level of usability

This makes me mad I just remembered they had the original roms for sonic 1 - 3 on steam before and they freaking DELISTED those so you’re forced to buy the remaster

What makes it worse is we’re in a golden age where most emulators are drag and drop and finding roms is a google search and a Reddit click away. There’s no way it’s that hard to some people

He's literally forcing the normies to learn about VPNs, proxies, onion layers, custom ROMs. And I'm all here for it. And you know, YT content creators and other content creators are going to feed this hunger

I would personally like to thank Kier Starmer and the Labour Party for introducing social media ban for under 16 and trying to introduce digital ID through the back door. Essentially confirming all the online privacy nightmare that awaits us. No one has done more to turn normies, the everyday public towards online privacy and cyber security, than the British Prime Minister and the Labour Party. In fact, I would argue no one has done more to get people more interested in tech. πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘ Don't be surprised if people suddenly become experts on VPN, DNS proxies, routing, tunnelings, onion layers, phones with custom ROMs, development of new custom ROMs, bypass browse extensions etc... Because people are going to be hungry for this knowledge and there are plenty of youtubers and online content creators to feed that hunger.

Imagine that in big 2026 there are still people who think that romanians and roms (gypsies) are the same thing

Samsung never updated S9 models after Android 10, but custom ROMs will

Idea i came up with intoxicated last night: libraries should have online databases (similar to ebook and audio book databases most have) but with roms and emulators. You can even code it so you can emulate all on the browser (which alot of sites online already do)
