Ella Maru Studio Inc latest cover for the @digital_rsc! ⚗️🧪⚛
This cover was created for a study by @ArashKhajeh, @LeiXiangyun and colleagues at @ToyotaResearch, where they developed a comprehensive framework for materials innovation by combining of four key elements:
✅ A #seed dataset to start the discovery process
✅ #Molecular_dynamics simulations to evaluate materials
✅ AI-powered #hypothesis_generation to propose new candidates
✅ A #feedback_loop to refine and improve predictions
Using this framework, they discovered new polymer electrolytes with better ionic conductivity! They also outlined key steps to bridge the gap between computational predictions and real-world applications.

**Encoding, decoding and rendering data using DNA nanoswitch libraries** -- We use DNA nanoswitches to encode & ribonucleases to decode information. Data can be read out as 5-bit codes or graphical displays on gels. #RSCPoster #RSCNano #RSCMat #RSCDigital @HalvorsenLab @ACSSynBio
ALT DNA-based construction allows the creation of molecular devices that are useful in information storage and processing. We combined the programmability of DNA nanoswitches and stimuli-responsive reconfiguration to demonstrate information encoding and graphical readout using gel electrophoresis. We encoded information using a combination of DNA and RNA inputs that can be decoded using a ribonuclease. Data can be visualized as 5-bit binary codes or graphical readouts of alphanumeric characters using a gel-based readout. Our method of information encoding and processing could be combined with DNA actuation for molecular computation and diagnostics that require a non-arbitrary visual readout.

My entry for #RSCPoster is about amyloid peptides and their interactions with glycans! In this particular project I show using molecular modeling that chitosan, a crab-derived glycan, sequesters amyloid-beta peptides to inhibit their aggregation. #RSCPhys #RSCDigital
