This #IWD2025, let's celebrate Dr. Katey Rayner, a trailblazing researcher and mentor in our community. 👩‍⚕️ A professor in Biochemistry, Microbiology & Immunology and the head of a thriving lab at the uOttawa @HeartInstitute, she and her team are doing remarkable work advancing #blood and #BloodVesselScience as well as exploring the mysteries of #microRNAs. It’s always bittersweet when trainees finish their degrees—wanting to keep them around forever, but knowing they are launching their next life chapter. Leah has been part of the fabric of the lab for so long, and I am BEYOND proud of what she has accomplished. #Rayhive proud!💪🥳

Just this morning, I got a cab in school. As I was about to pay, the driver asked if I was lanre_bisuga from Twitter. Apparently his two children are huge #rayhive fans and are always talking about me, he told me not to pay and asked for a picture with me😂🙏🏿
