After a few days testing Octane for Houdini, I have to ask:
Why isn't Octane talked about more often?
Compared to Redshift, it feels significantly more advanced in several areas:
• Much more powerful AOV workflows
• A huge range of shader nodes and utilities
• Excellent Trace Set control (possibly better than RS?)
For artists who've used both in production: what are Octane's biggest weaknesses? What am I missing?
