Growers and farmers use a refractometer to measure the Brix (°Bx) level of fruit juices. This test measures the total soluble solids (essentially, natural sugars) to see if the produce is sweet and nutrient-dense enough to harvest.
@SecRollins lowered standards for Brix test!
i bought a brix refractometer that i keep in my car bc i dont trust drive thru people to get my order right and i genuinely dont feel like i can consistently differentiate diet dr pepper vs full sugar lol
I haven’t used THIS one yet, and will download it and check it out, but it is physically impossible to differentiate between many minerals (especially gemstones) visually. That’s why I have a refractometer, polariscope, etc…

Hell yeah bro. Every grower should own a refractometer! Brix is one of the most underrated things when it comes to growing cannabis, yet every agricultural farmer out there knows about the significance of it. It's the driver of true quality. Especially flavor & potency.
If you want to take it up a notch, add a Brix column and buy a refractometer.
Measure your leaf's brix level at the same time each year, probably as they're flowering and about to start producing.
Brix levels never lie about plant health.
