Green card country caps based on birth country are absurd. America thrives on capitalism and meritocracy—why not apply the same principles here? Remove these outdated caps and select the best candidates based on contribution, not birthplace. Because I am raising concerns about the flood of unvetted illegal immigrants overwhelming American cities, the press will often characterize me as “anti-immigrant”.
As an immigrant myself, nothing could be further from the truth.
I am very much in favor of increased and expedited legal immigration for anyone who is talented, hard-working and honest.
It is bizarrely difficult and agonizingly slow to immigrate to the USA legally, but trivial and fast to enter illegally! This obviously makes no sense.

Fix the #greencardbacklog (#RemoveCountryCaps, #StopCountingDependents, #RecaptureGreenCards) and the #H1B system (ditch the lottery) and watch all the hiring issues vanish in to thin air!
But the current administration is intent on doling out EAD's and suppressing the wages of non-white collared jobs. Time to wake up @TheDemocrats and @POTUS!
Fix the legal immigration system. #US is losing out and the signs are more visible now given the amount of exodus of numerous people.

Yes it makes sense to have talented people evaluated based on skills, unfortunately most progressive nation like US impose discrimination on talents based on the country of birth. Focus on skills and #RemoveCountryCaps .
