Dr. Sumedha Dutta, Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology, South Asian University, New Delhi, India recently attended the prestigious 5th International Sociological Association (ISA) Forum of Sociology, which was held at the Mohammed V University, Rabat, Morocco. She organized three panels in collaboration with experts on Sociology of Religion from Australia, USA and Canada, chaired a session, and co-chaired two other sessions in the Research Committee on Sociology of Religion – RC- 22, which were robustly attended by scholars and professors from esteemed institutions from across 25 different countries. She is currently a board member (Early Career Representative) of the ISA RC-22.
Dr. Dutta also presented her paper in the Research Committee on Sociology of Tourism, RC-50. It is noteworthy that shepresented the agenda of the forthcoming ISA RC-22, Mid-term Conference to be organized in collaboration with the Department of Sociology in South Asian University, on 5th, 6thand 7th February, 2026, in the business meeting of ISA RC-22, which was greatly appreciated by everyone present. Scholars from 10 countries across 5 continents have already submitted their session proposals for the mid-term conference. The deadline for the call for sessions is 31st of July, 2025.
