Everyone should have a home but the evidence suggests Ireland doesn't believe it

Homelessness has been normalised, unlike in Finland where affordable, secure housing is an ethical and economic priority.

This has become a fast growing industry When instead of it everyone having a home (with over 160,000 vacant & over 20k derelict homes) Sadly this is what government housing policy that doesn't want everyone to have a home looks like #DerelictIreland

Here are some more decaying historic warehouses at the back of the old builders yard/Kyrls Quay area, on Kyle St Entire area is blessed with architectural heritage but cursed with poor stewardship, vandalism, a dereliction of duty Cork & its people deserve better #RestPlayWork

The old builders yard is right behind it, love the old frontage & old signage, hope they survive, so much heritage being destroyed all the time in Cork city, there was an amazing Belfast Truss roof here when @judesherry & I moved back in 2018, rotted away since #DerelictIreland

Now the fencing is down just leave this space open & turn it into 24 hr access public park in Cork City centre Space is ideal, & with historic public toilets reopened too, & next to the coolest part of the city; River Lee/Popes Quay onto Shandon #RestPlayWork #DerelictIreland
