Supporters of the Damascus authorities, including extremist and ISIS-affiliated elements, are gathering while armed and threatening the Kurds in Tal Brak.
The Damascus government is following in the footsteps of the former Baath regime (the Assad government), attempting to Arabize Kurdish areas, while also threatening to unleash jihadists and ISIS members on our regions—just as the previous regime used to do when it armed and deployed loyal Arab groups against us.

The jihadist mentality of the Damascus government still remains the same so far, where there is no place for women in the government or defense.
The Women’s Protection Units (YPJ) fought and defended the whole world against some of the most brutal terrorist organizations, including one that was allied with Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), which is now the government in Damascus.
And we will never accept any harm against them, any rejection of them, or any denial of their sacrifices.

We are not vandals. The real destroyer is the one who suppresses an entire people’s language and tries to erase their identity and existence.
We, the youth of Hasakah, Qamishlo, and #Rojava, have sacrificed thousands of martyrs in defense of our land, language, and dignity. We will never retreat from our rightful demand to preserve our Kurdish identity and its presence in our cities and institutions.
