In ROTJ Yoda says to Luke "no more training do you require. Already know you, that which you need." Well apparently Luke needed A LOT more training because he was no match for the Emperor.

He literally put her into the ROTJ radio play, you moron. He also personally COMMISSIONED the Thrawn trilogy, which introduces her.

I would point out that Disney and Star Wars had ties long before the purchase. There was a Star Wars ride at Disney parks starting in 1987, just 4 years after ROTJ. Nomura's also a big fan of Star Wars and some of the set pieces towards the end of KH2 clearly were inspired by SW.

In rotj novel it says that in the last moments, Vader thought of Padme, Obi Wan, Luke and his younger self.

Well with the latest KH4 trailer I’ll give my Disney worlds predictions/hopes - Star Wars (ROTJ) Endor, Death Star, Dagobah maybe? - Moana - Coco - Atlantis/Treasure Planet - Olympus - Zootopia Atlantis/Treasure Planet is my long shot, but I feel like the rest is possible.

Because no one notices things like this without pausing it and frame advancing in order to find the "mistake". This is like being mad that Luke kicked air in ROTJ 🙄

I’m not suggesting they somehow remove him from that film or that he should’ve died before ROTJ if you’re under the impression that I have the timeline messed up in my head. I’m well aware that Ahsoka is roughly 8-10 years post-ROTJ.

And? His role was very minimal in ROTJ. Iconic, but not really important.

No they didn't. Yoda wanted Luke to stay and finish his training. Yoda knew he couldn't defeat Vader or the Emperor in his current state. In the novelization of ROTJ, Luke tries to absorb the Force Lightening, so Yoda likely taught him that or at least told him about it.

I just rewatched ROTJ the other day. we have to stop acting like Ackbar is some deeply important character when 90% of people wouldn't know his name and then just say "oh yeah that guy" when seeing his picture.

You do realize he learned his lesson in ROTJ right?💀💀 Literal character regression in TLJ having him do it AGAIN with 0 context and hardly any development of a New Jedi Order. The Sequels are garbage.

in Legends at least even decades later Vader's identity was still not widely known, in canon at least up to shortly before ANH Vader was widely known but Anakin's survival was not, I imagine if Rex ever did find out it would either directly involve Ahsoka or be well after ROTJ

ROTJ also has the best lightsaber battle in all of star wars, period the final luke/vader match is utterly peak

I can see why adults in 1983 didn't like the Ewoks. But I grew up with the Ewoks in the 80s before I saw ROTJ. They appealed to me as a little kid. Just like people who were 5 in 1999 loved Jar-Jar and TPM. Many Star Wars opinions are just generational. ROTJ is my favorite.

The original ROTJ Anakin force ghost makes more sense than the Hayden Christensen one because he turned back to the light before death.

It was canon, dumbass. It was just on a lower tier than the movies and the radio dramas. It was official canon by Lucasfilm. Are you saying his own company tricked him for 30 years without him noticing? Lucas even put Mara Jade into the Radio drama of ROTJ, dumbass.

an animated show, probably named “the civil war”, same length as clone wars and set at ANH - ROTJ era, where we would see all the OT characters and some fun adventures

Yes the hell it is, true monsters in fiction don't love anyone but themselves, that's what seperated Vader from Palpatine in ROTJ And it isn't an excuse for Anakin since he isn't even saying he should be in charge
