💂Garden parties at the Buckingham Palace - a bridge across time💂 Did you know that the British garden receptions hosted by Their Majesties at the Buckingham Palace represent a centuries-old social tradition, originally encouraged by Queen Victoria in the 1860s - at the time called "breakfasts"? For me, as a #Romanian career diplomat, it is fascinating to see how this quintessential British tradition, with all its protocol and etiquette details, is still observed across time, while also adapting to new contexts.
