You'll want SQL Player's Azure Synapse Tools rather than ADF Tools, but it offers similar functionality to deploy from JSON. github.com/SQLPlayer/azure.s…
Outside of accidental changes, we may have different configurations for SHIRs and Managed VNets in dev vs prod. I rarely have the same triggers in each environment. ADF Tools is great for selective deployment and being able to change any property that differs between environments
Yeah, I think MS would be wise to make ADFTools the official deployment method... cause that whole deploying the entire thing and praying instead of the one minor pipeline change I made has to go
Andy, some videos on my YT channel, blog posts on my @SQLPlayer blog and also my commercial course: learn.sqlplayer.net/database…
However, we may have some call if you need to discuss specific scenario.
Yep - with Synapse it just works using the linked service that is auto-magically created, for ADF obviously you'd have to set-up the connection. Interestingly it's visible in one of my subscriptions, but not the other.
Meagan, your assumption and path for MIEndpoint seems to be correct. Can you raise an issue here github.com/SQLPlayer/azure.d… and attach both files: object and config. I'd take a look at this today.
